Portugal is located at the most western tip of Europe. It is a country with a long, rich history. During the Exploration Age the Portuguese were one of the richest countries. Unfortunately their wealth was squandered and the country was one of the poorest in Europe for a long time. Portugal is no longer poor and it offers great rates for hotels and food and is deep in visitable sites and bountiful in beaches.
